The Stoltz frères (Paris) organ-making enterprise introduced itself to Spain with this beautiful romantic instrument installed at the far end of the choir and inside the baroque case of the previous organ. This instrument, in turn, had already been moved to this spot from the traditional emplacement to one side.
In 1991 the instrument was seriously damaged when a large stone fell on it from the roof of the church, where work was being carried out. The resulting damage was repaired by Robert Chauvin of Dax in 1994.
After the restauration in 2010 by the French firm, DLFO, directed by Dénis Lacorre, the organ has three manuals, each with a compass of 56 notes and one pedalboard of 30, with a total of 36 stops.
